Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday signed her message to the Commonwealth, which will be read at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next year.
A statement on the king’s social media accounts said the message was placed inside the Queen’s baton before she embarked on a journey through Birmingham through 72 Commonwealth territories and nations, covering 90,000 miles. Connects more communities.
As well as being the head of the Commonwealth, the Queen is also the Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation. He was accompanied by The Earl of Wessex, who is the Deputy Patron. “Every four years, these games revive the spirit of our Commonwealth.
